I’m Emily Carpenter!

I am a grant writer and grant management systems developer with a decade of experience working for small and large nonprofits out of Washington, DC and Rochester, NY.

I care deeply about what I write, and have had the privilege of seeing my writing come to life in the form of nonprofit programs and services. With that, I understand the importance of maintaining accuracy with your organizational capacity while reaching for your service goals.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ithaca College. My journalism background built my foundation for no-nonsense, data-centric writing, and my passion for community engagement and storytelling breathes life and meaning into my work.

In my spare time you can find me volunteering with various local nonprofits and training for my next triathlon.
